The guide below works for HiKam S6 and HiKam A7 2018 Version.

When your camera and your PC are on the same LAN, you have the choice to use BlueIris to connect to your camera and watch live streams.

Prerequisite

  • The BlueIris software has been downloaded and installed on your PC.
  • You are familiar with BlueIris software.
  • Your camera has been set up successfully with a valid IP address.

Add your camera

Step 1: Start BlueIris.

Step 2: Click + on the top-right corner to add a new camera.

                                     


Step 3: In the popup New camera window name your camera.

       Keep the Type as Network IP.

       If you prefer to have audio together with the live video, have Enable Audio checked. Then click OK.


                                     



Step 4: In the popup Network IP camera configuration ,

           #1 input your camera local IP address ,e.g 192.168.1.25. 

                (you can find your camera local IP in the HiKam app, by clicking the 'Camera Info' button, as blow)

                                                                 


        #2 Change the Discovery/ONVIF port to 8090,

        #3 Click 'Find/inspect...' button

        A full example is as below, 

                               


            The BlueIris starts to connect to the camera for retrieving configuration parameters. You can see the progress in the Inspecting... window. The "Done" displayed in the scroll window signifies a successful retrieval. Click the Close button.

                                         


Step 6: Now you are guided back to the Network IP camera configuration window with many parameters filled. Just click OK to establish the connection.

                                         


                   You will see the configuration menu below, just click OK button.

                                       

                               

Note: It may take some time (usually less than one minute) to build the connection. In the duration before the connection sets up, the vertical color lines are displayed. If you have waited more than one minute, stop the connection and return back to check the connection parameters in the Network IP camera configuration window.


                                     


After the connection established

Now you can follow the stream transmitted from your camera.


                                     


If you want to have audio playing back, just right click on the video screen and select 'Play live audio'. You will hear sound from mic of the camera.
